The CNR Research Area is located inside the "Polo Scientifico Universitario" at Sesto Fiorentino, a few kilometres northwest of Florence, near the Vespucci airport and the A1 and A11 motorways exits.

By CAR

Exit Firenze Nord, continue towards Firenze (A11) and take the Sesto Fiorentino exit, continue towards Sesto Fiorentino passing on via dell'Osmannoro following the signs for the Polo Scientifico. The CNR is located in the complex of red buildings at the end of the Polo area.

By BUS

Unfortunately there are no direct buses that take you to the Scientific Center from the center of Florence or from Airport To get there by public transport there are several options:

• tram T1 (direzione Careggi) fino alla fermata MORGAGNI-UNIVERSITÀ; spostandosi in via Dino del Garbo, prendere il bus 59 in direzione Polo Scientifico (stop CNR).
• train to FIRENZE RIFREDI station; follow the signs for the exit Vasco de Gama and reach via Panciatichi and take the bus 59 towards Polo Scientifico (STOP CNR)
• tram T2 (direction Airport from center or direction Unità from Airport) to the GUIDONI stop; from here take bus 66 towards Polo Scientifico (STOP Madonna del Piano)
